Vista Escape

Project Overview
Vista Escape is a serene countryside residence set within the rolling landscape of Tuscany, Italy. The design embraces a low-horizontal form that sits quietly within its natural surroundings — white rendered volumes, flat rooflines, and generous glazing that frames the garden and sky as living elements of the interior. Mature cypress trees define the boundary of the site, reinforcing the sense of seclusion and providing a natural architectural counterpoint to the clean geometry of the building.
Scope Of Work
The scope covered full architectural design and construction oversight, including site planning, building envelope design, landscape masterplan, and interior spatial organization across the single-level layout.
- Site planning and landscape masterplan
- Single-level architectural form and envelope design
- White render facade and roofline detailing
- Glazing strategy and garden view optimization
- Mature tree and boundary landscape integration
Vision
The vision was to create a home that disappears into its landscape — a building that feels less like an imposition on the countryside and more like a natural extension of it. The horizontal form, restrained palette, and carefully considered relationship between built and planted elements were all chosen to reinforce a sense of calm, permanence, and belonging in the Tuscan hills.
Result
The completed residence has been celebrated for the quality of its integration with the natural landscape and the exceptional sense of calm it delivers as a living environment. The client describes it as precisely what was envisioned — a retreat that feels both architecturally refined and deeply relaxing. The project has since been featured in two European residential architecture publications.
