Griya Asri Tamansari

Project Overview
Griya Asri Tamansari is a heritage-inspired residential project located in the coastal town of Tamansari, Indonesia. The design draws from traditional Javanese architectural character — ornamental tile facades, deep-set timber windows, and a restrained color palette of white and ocean blue. The project was driven by a commitment to cultural continuity, ensuring the home feels rooted in its place while meeting the full comfort expectations of contemporary living.
Scope Of Work
The scope covered full architectural design and construction oversight, from facade detailing through to interior layout, material specification, and landscape integration.
- Architectural design and heritage detailing
- Facade tile pattern design and specification
- Timber window and door joinery
- Interior layout and spatial planning
- Landscape and streetscape integration
Vision
The vision was to create a home that belongs to its street and its culture — not a replica of the past, but a building that carries traditional craftsmanship forward with care and intention. The design respects the scale and rhythm of the surrounding neighborhood while delivering a residence of exceptional quality and character.
Result
The completed home has become a quiet landmark on its street, drawing attention for its craftsmanship and its respectful relationship with the surrounding context. The client expressed strong satisfaction with how closely the finished building matched the original design intent, and the project has since been recognized in a regional architectural heritage publication.
